DocuX vs DocuSign

You need more than an eSign
tool to #getworkdone

DocuX

A purpose-built platform to create, collaborate, control,
eSign, and manage all your docs/contracts in one place.

DocuSign πŸ”₯

Market leader in electronic signature but lacks basic
docs/contract drafting and management capabilities.

Create

Full feature online document editor for drafting,
editing and formatting of all your docs/contracts.

MS Word / Google Docs
like online editor

No document editor.

Collaborate

Complete collaboration suite. Purpose built,
Real-time, contextual and 100% on-doc.

On-doc comments, suggestions,
chat, attachments, etc.

Very limited on-doc collaboration.
Context is entirely detached from the doc.

Controls

Control view, download, edit, forward, etc. rights.
Unprecedented, total platform control with you.

Docs and platform controls
for secure sharing

No document controls beyond password protection.
Very limited platform controls.

Approvals

No-code, user configurable
workflows for internal approvals.

Internal approval
workflows

No such workflows
for internal approvals.

eSign

Easy to use, lightening fast, and legally
binding eSign. Unlimited and FREE.

Legally binding native
electronic signature

Complex to use, glitchy but legally binding
eSign. Prohibitively expensive.

Workspace

AI powered, purpose-built workspace
that manages half of your work.

AI powered
docs/contracts repository

No more than documents listing. Your work is as
cumbersome as before, perhaps more.

Security

Top of the class, bank grade security with
data encryption at rest and in transit.

Platform, document, data
security and certification

Top platform security and certifications. Not so robust
document security (can be accessed with link by anyone).

Top reasons DocuSign usersΒ
look for alternatives

#1

Glitchy product and user experiences

#2

Exorbitantly costly- no real unlimited plans

#3

Insensitive, unresponsive and poor customer service

Classic DocuSign, the yearly shakedown. They tried to take us from about $800 to $20,000 and it was literally more worthwhile to build a custom alternative.

DocuSign ($10B+ co) prevents bulk downloading of signed docs. Instead, you must download each file 1-by-1 to migrate. This is extremely time intensive and non-trivial to outsource given data sensitivity...Thus, they πŸ”’ you in.
Someone, PLEASE build an open source alternative!

What a horrible product. In theory, it's great, falls apart in execution. We'll never use DocuSign again. Always issues, always. Waste of time.

The fact that it sometimes simply does not work. The support team's answer is "use a different browser", "go incognito" and "clear the cache" and re-try everything. This is time-consuming and I have yet to send a successful document for signatures to my team.

Horrible experience with @DocuSign
Mis-advertised support for multiple-language sending: support docs, settings all show the feature but calling support tells me 'this is only available in a corporate plan'

Can't get a refund and can't escalate 'due to coronavirus'

Pathetic.

Why choose DocuX
over DocuSign

Better, robust and intuitive product

No more glitches, broken workflows or starting all over again. We have worked very hard to make DocuX robust and easy and intuitive at the same time.

You need eSign++ to get work done

eSign is just a part of your docs/contract lifecycle. You need all-in-one platform including eSign to get work done. DocuSign does not offer that.

Fair and simple pricing- not predatory

DocuSign plans + add-ons are prohibitively expensive. The so-called unlimited plans do have hidden limits. DocuX plans are fair, transparent and truly unlimited.

Ditch the back-and-forth

Move all collaboration and reviews out of mailbox and scattered tools onto the doc. With DocuX, 100% of the internal and external collaboration happens on-the-doc.

Get single source of truth

Say goodbye to documents scattered across devices, tools, and users. All your docs/contracts are in one place and, every DocuX doc/contract is your reliable, single source of truth.

Better document security

Unlike DocuSign where anyone can access your document with a link, DocuX protects your docs/contracts from any unauthorized access.
